The Best Drugstore Primers

The Best Drugstore Primers

If you are looking for an inexpensive, easily accessible way to achieve a "beat face," look no further, the answer is super simple, priming.  The act of priming is simply the use of preparing the the skin for makeup application that looks flawless and lasts the entirety of the day. For many, priming is done after cleaning the skin and using a daily oil or moisturizer. The formulas used in the production of primers are created to form a product erasing the presence of pores to provide an overall seamless look with or without the use of foundation.

When choosing primers, one must opt for one that works well with their skin (oily, dry, or combination) and the look that they desire to achieve (dewy, matte). As someone that has eczema within the T-Zone area of my face, I often choose a primer whose purpose is to combat shine. Most know the T-Zone area naturally produces more oil due to the extensive presence of glands beneath the skin, and having eczema in this spot tends to cause me to over moisturize. As a result, priming has become my best option to avoid a super oily makeup look. Though many higher end cosmetic brands provide primers, all of my must haves belong to the beauty departments within a drugstore.
